MPeli commentedI think we can close this issue. The field is not being displayed twice any more. I have not idea why.
darthf1 commentedI have the same issue.
hutch commentedI cannot help on the basis of the information provided (which is none at all).
darthf1 commentedThere is no extra information to give at this moment. I'm using Drupal 7.14 and Get location 7.x-1.1.
I create a node and add the location fields. When i view the node, it displays the entire location row (so textual and the Google Map) twice, as you can see in the image from the OP.
hutch commentedTry installing the dev version and flush the cache.
DeNelo commentedI have the same issue. The HTML has two identical maps with separate ids:
<div class="getlocations_map_canvas" id="getlocations_map_canvas_key_1" .....>....and
<div class="getlocations_map_canvas" id="getlocations_map_canvas_key_2" .....>....I have flushed cache, I run the latest dev build.
DeNelo commentedSorry. Ran cron, and problem went away...
furberd commentedI had the same problem. Updated to dev version (6/23 edition). Still same problem.
I reconstructed the query in getlocations_fields_load_locations. It returns two records where there should be one. I noticed that if ($field_name) adds an inner join to the field_config table. It's not needed for the query. When I remove it, I get only one result. I don't see any conditions that require this join. In other words, comment out/remove line 1820 ($query->join('field_config', 'c', 'e.field_name = c.field_name');) and it works fine. For me anyway.
hutch commented@furberd, you probably have either duplicate or orphan records, most likely the latter and most likely from the symptoms in field_config and field_config_instance. This may have been caused by an attempt to delete a location in the past, before the 'delete location' code was working properly. It is now.
The code
Hunt down the unwanted record and it will work without removing the code, it is there to ensure that only records with matching field names will be shown so something is in there twice, probably.

danny englanderI just ran into this same issue as well. I am using 7.x-1.2 from 18, July 2012. I ran cron and that fixed the issue though.
Wappie08 commentedMe too, running cron & clearing cache fixed the issue. Happened on clean install.

ZoodaVex commentedI had the same problem. Flushed caches, ran cron, but to no avail. I followed the advice of furberd at #8 and
commented the mentioned code line out from getlocations_fields.module, which did the trick. Right now the website seems to be running smoothly and GetLocations fields are displayed only once. (7.x-1.3, D 7.15)

MtRoxx commentedI am having the same issue AND I cannot access the field display settings in the content type. I wonder if the two issues are related? When I go to /admin/structure/types/manage/business/display/full and attempt to access the geolocation field I get a huge list of errors.
An AJAX HTTP error occurred.

hutch commentedYour cache needs to be flushed.
MtRoxx commentedI did that hutch before I posted the error, it did not help.
hutch commentedAlso, you should try current dev and resave admin/config/getlocations and admin/config/getlocations_fields, then return to your content type and save that.
MtRoxx commentedI upgraded to the Nov 10 dev version, I did resave the admin/config/getlocations and admin/config/getlocations_fields. Now I have lost the map completely. Since I have played with the theme, I changed to Bartlik theme, to remove any chances that I have hidden a field.
MtRoxx commentedI restored from a Backup and Migrate db file from before I installed the dev version - but keeping the updated module code. Everything is working as it should. I can see the map, add new a new content type using the geocode this button. I must have had a glitch in my database somewhere. Thank you for the help hutch.

furberd commentedThe problem cropped up again when I updated the module. Running cron and clearing the cache did not help. The line I commented out four years ago is no longer there. However, I found the cause in my case. Getlocations was not the first module I tried in my quest to put points on a map that correspond to nodes. A previous attempt with geofield module left an inactive field config with the same field name. When I manually deleted that row, the double map became a single map. Go figure.
