Hey there, I see a lot of requests for allowing everyone to access everything. But what if I were looking for certain roles to access only some subdomains and some to access all?

Is there a way? Am I missing it?

I think the Domain Bonus module pack has something that handles that.

If the rules weren't very complex, you could use the existing "access inactive domains" permission to restrict roles. Unauthorized users trying to access inactive domains are redirected to the default domain.

Yea, that would be nice - but we're rolling with D7. That module is only for 6.

if we were to use the inactive technique, wouldn't the domains have to be inactive?

Yes, but that shouldn't matter to most users.
