After configuring all the options I can find, the site license reads:

This @dc:type-name, @dc:title, is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license, although certain works referenced herein may be separately licensed.

I can't figure out where those two site variables are set. Otherwise, it seems to be working as designed.

My site is doing the same thing.

Is there a way to get rid of it?

This module will get some attention over the holiday now that Media 2.x-unstable7 is more stable. The push is going to be to add licensing to media entities directly so that the license is available everywhere the media is used.

I running a recipe site and just want the author to pick whether or not they want the license or not. Going to disable for now, can't wait for a new release. :o)
