I gave the correct permissions. I can now ADD directories, but when I select a directory and click Delete it says "Please select a file."

Add and Remove directory should be in the same interface. The Delete button is for file deletion.

To remove a directory you need:
- to click on the parent directory
- then click on the Directory button in the top header
- in the popup, you select the existing directory via the dropdown (arrow next to the input)
- and then click remove
