I added the WebSnapr module to my site (still not open to the public yet) and set up a test page with 4 links in it. Two of them were to www.google.com and Slashdot respectively, and the other two were to lesser-known sites.
The popup bubble on Google and Slashdot work fine.
But when I do a mouse-over on the lesser known site links, I get a popup bubble for either one which says "Thumbnail has been queued" with the WebSnapr 2.0 logo in the bottom-right of the popup.
Given that there doesn't seem to be any docco describing how this works or what to expect, when I set it up last night I figured "okay, something's queued somewhere, I guess I'll sleep on it and check it tomorrow. Well it's now tomorrow and nothing's changed.
Could you explain what might be going on and how I might go about correcting it?
Cheers.

vlooivlerke commentedHi, my site is live and I have been running WebSnapr for a 5 days now.
All my links point to unknown sites in South Africa, and no previews are available.
But funny enough, a external link (http://) on the ad module generated a preview, but not of the external site but of the ad banner..?
In IE7 the banner preview is shown, on Fire Fox it says (Forbidden request)
The ad module generates nodes for banners, is there a way to disable WebSnapr for a certain node type?
And +/_ how long should you wait before you could expect some previews from unknown sites?
My site use allot of js scripts and Websnapr caused no problems - cool stuff
-jstools
-collapsible Block
-curvycorners
-floating layers
-simple menu
-Dhml menu
Thanks for this module

tanoshimi commentedThe websnapr module serves images from the websnapr website http://www.websnapr.com/ - check there for more information on how thumbnails are queued.

nerdymark commentedThis module would be great if it wasn't dependent on another web service. Some of us run our own servers and compiling some code or installing binaries isn't a big problem. Is there an open package that can accomplish this? I'm sure it could be easily integrated.

vacilando commented@nerdymark - a way to achieve this is using AWS API for thumbnails - see here. However, there is (a little) price attached to it (2 USD per 10,000 thumbnails served).
