Duplicate/repeat terms show in breadcrumb in hierarchical terms

i am using taxonomy menu and then installed taxonomy menu trails as some of the taxonomy terms are tied to nodes. the breadcrumb is ok for the tax links tied to nodes, but then the breadcrumb gets duplicated (ie. Home > L1 > L2 > L1 > L2 if on a L3 page) for just the taxonomy term pages (which are displayed with views in panels).

might want to try 'taxonomy_breadcrumb' module. more or less solves this problem (at least for me).

Marking as fixed as per comments from farse. Re-open if it does not help.

This functionality should work out of the box from this module, I don't think we should override breadcrumbs with another one.

I am getting this duplicated breadcrumb too when visiting a taxonomy term inside another one.
For first level items breadcrumb is not duplicated, only for 2nd level terms.

Using panels with taxonomy term template.

I have same problem. Every item in breadcrums duplicated if term page overriden by Panels.
Did you find how to fix this?

Any news on this? Did anybody figured out the root of the problem with duplicated items? I have the same using Panels/Panelizer on Taxonomy term pages.

Edit 1: As disabling the module (+ extra cache clear) didn't change anything, I now doubt that the problem is caused by this module.

Edit 2: @kopeboy: Maybe the problem you experienced a while ago is just in panles: In my case I had checked the option Inject hierarchy of first term into breadcrumb trail With the description: If checked, taxonomy term parents will appear in the breadcrumb trail. When I set that option, I thought that this is necessary to show the breadcrumb with the term hierarchy. But actually it is working well without that option and if this option is checked it results in duplicate entries in the breadcrumb.
