I have received reports on my site that anonymous commenters are finding the E-mail address field pre-filled in with the E-mail address of the prior commenter. Of course since it says the E-mail address is confidential, they are concerned.
I have not been able to reproduce the bug myself, however, even when not logged in. I did not see any issue reports on it here so I have filed one, though of course without reproduction that is annoying.
I was running 1.1.2.1.2.1 2007/01/14 23:20:23 on Drupal 5. I just updgraded to the latest CVS 1.1.2.1.2.2 2007/02/23 to see if that helps things or not.
You can see the thread with users complaining at: http://ideas.4brad.com/jobs-warns-knockoff-iphone-lacks-many-key-features
It begins in the 2nd comment down. I will probably remove the email field for anon commenters for now.

mfer commentedThis can be an issue when caching is enabled and you aren't using the jquery method of caching the users information. Go to admin/settings/comment_info on your site and make sure the box next to "Enable jQuery Comment Info." is checked. Is it?

Do you know how to get the old comments back? They have to be in there somewhere, no?

mfer commented@Jaymie - you are posting issues to the wrong module. This is the comment info module. It's an add on to the comment module. You are looking for support on the comment module.
