Interactive/Drupal Developer

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Interactive/ Drupal application Developer to work within a dynamic and highly innovative team environment in our Technology and Management Solutions (TMS) group’s Information Technology Solutions (ITS) division. The Drupal application developer will contribute to the definition, design and development of high quality Web sites and Web-based solutions. Applications will be primarily developed using Drupal and related technologies; however, a diverse range of experience in multiple technologies is desirable. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies, be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team, producing quality work products with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

•Work closely with clients, subject matter experts and project team in the development of database driven Web sites •Design, develop, and maintain Web sites and Web-based solutions utilizing Drupal and other Web-based technologies •Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field: Computer Science, Engineering or IT related discipline •2+ years of software development experience with Web-based development tools and technologies •1+ years of experience developing solutions using Drupal •1+ years of experience developing jQuery plugins for dynamic web content •1+ of experience in Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP, Progressive Enhancement •1+ years of experience developing and maintaining WordPress Templates •1+ years of Multimedia Experience using Adobe Flash or any other Adobe Creative Suite tools

Preferred Skills/Experience:
•Understanding of Web development practices, the software development life cycle, and development in accordance with industry best practices and W3C standards •Extensive familiarity with (X)HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript •Experience with jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks •Familiarity with one or more of the following (or similar) programming languages: Java, PHP, .NET, ColdFusion, Python, Ruby •Experience with Drupal theming and common module configuration (view, panels, etc.) •Database programming experience, using one or more of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database •Strong written and oral communication skills
