when I add adaptive image effect to image style which is also using Manual crop effect, then cropped image is not saved after the form is submitted. You need to update image style first. Then cropped version of image appears. After I delete adaptive image from image style, everything works ok.

I'm not familiar with the adaptive image module, but I'll check if I can get it working.

It seems that the Adaptive image module alters the image path so it can be styled using a custom menu callback. I suggest you open a ticket in the Adaptive image issue queue because I'm afraid I can't fix this in the Manual Crop module.

thanks, i did create another issue... but it did not bring enought interest or activity.
anyway - image is cropped and displayed properly after I select update style in config - media - image styles
