Well im new to Drupal, but i want to built a german site with it, therefore i prefer a german interface.
So i sat down, took the premade file of Uwe Hermann and translated most of the untranslated text to German.
I am aware that, due to my lack of deeper knowledge of Drupal, some translations may be confusing, irritating or simply suck :-)
I provide this translation as is with no warranty like loss of data due to errors in translation. Use this at your own risk.
I may finish the PO file to 100% a little later. Things i did not translate yet i either lack better words for or dont know what it actually means, so i can translate them somewhat sufficient.
I hope this helps Drupal gain some more german users. With 89.3% translated now, its a step ahead.

Uwe Hermann commentedHi, I just committed parts of your translation (system.module) to CVS, with some more additions and fixes by me. The file is not yet translated completely, some strings are still missing.
