will there be an upgrade to drupal 7?
or is this functionality to be found somewhere else now?

I really wanted to migrate this module to D7, all the initial work was made on Paneles Media, but I never got it to fully work. There's a clone of the project that is on a sandbox that I think works but I don't really know. Unfortunatelly I don't really have the time to migrate it.
