Caret ">" turns to ">"

Description
So, Coolfilter and Coolcode is wonderful.. No questions, yet it keeps turning my carets ">>" into ">". What to do?
This renders
[coolcode]echo test >> test[/coolcode]
into
[coolcode]echo test >> test[/coolcode]
and breaks many of scripts. :-(
