It would be great to be able to upload a logo, rescale it and position it

Also enable disable sitename or logo, all from the livethemer widget

You can already position the site logo in header variations where the option would make sense, but you can't resize it or upload it. We won't be adding that functionality to Livethemer, because in order to install Livethemer you must already know how to access the server's filesystem and so it should be fairly easy for you to upload images without a UI (which would be difficult / time-consuming to implement via a Javascript interface).

Disabling a site name and/or logo is a great suggestion — noted, thanks.

Inside the Livethemer inspector you can select from images that are supplied with a variation, or from images you put into a sites/all/variations/images directory.

Thanks for your reply jeff,

I am sad to read this is difficult to implement,
however I think it is useful for a role that should not have access to the administration.

A "theme builder" role would have to access the appearance section making the process more confusing.

I as a front-end coder, can use the module as is without problem, but I would like other roles to be able to do a complete theming...

Anyway the module is great, hope to see more of it...

Interesting — I should not have dismissed your original suggestion so quickly. Keen to hear creative ideas for usage of Livethemer that we haven't thought of ourselves, so could you describe what kind of setup would benefit from a non-admin user using Livethemer?

We did actually build-in some hooks with this in mind, thinking it would be cool for a site user to be able to style just their user/x page or such, but your suggestion sounds a little different.

Jeff

Yes, consider this:
A webdeveloper provides drupal sites hosted and ready to be themed and authored to graphic designers that provide this sites to their costumers. Graphic designers are, I think more in need of SaaS websites than business owners as they tend to delegate this tasks.

The Designers do not know and shouldn't be configuring the sites, but they will have doc about authoring and complete theming.

1. They will try to upload a logo
2. they will use the corporate identity colors (great if they create a palette)
3. they will try to match the fonts
4. then they will probably enter the contents
