How may I use Content Template to display the "point value" or "total score" of the votes on a node in its body and teaser? Is there a variable I can reference?

This is an issue for me too. The variable $vote_up_down_points doesn't work with contemplate and if one disables Link display on the settings page, $node->links['vote_up_down_points']['title'] doesn't work either.

Please take a look to the update on the project page, now 5.x is not-really-maintained.

If you think your question is still applicably to the last recommended version(6.x-2.x) please move the version accordingly and reopen it.
