Ok, I did a user search on "viagra" on here instead of Google and blocked a whole lot of spammers. I guess at this point, let's give Google time to catch up and try the search again to see if I missed anybody.

Michelle

PS: This is the first time in my life I have ever searched on "viagra" LOL!

I got another couple of them thoug the "people interested in Viagra" page...

These never got detected because they didn't send spam. They only used their profiles to enter spam. I wonder if we could use a function that mails a summary of the day's new additions to the user profiles to the webmasters' list.

thanks for blocking and deleting posts. while i am not a great advocate of blocking, some 200+ account came from @yandex.ru. prop a free signup mail provider. we /could/ block this in a rule?

Not an option, I am afraid. There are 32 blocked users with such a mail address and 304 unblocked ones.

greggles: From your latest list, most people seem to be alrady blocked. It is probably a bug with Drupal's user search to show them at all.

I have this problem with comments on my site, since Textimage isn't working. I have capcha but spammers beat the math questions.

I'm concerned about this happening to my site as well.

Perhaps we can put our heads together and find a solution?

When people block users they should check the various profile pages for links, etc.
I just went through and changed all viagra names to blocked###

I added a username and email rule to block %viagra%
