Hi all,

Just a quick newbie question here... I've just switched to Drupal and am loving it but am having a little difficulty grasping a few things.

One major problem I have been unable to solve through forum searches etc is how to get categories to display their child categories
e.g. The website im working on is for a not-for-profit organization about epilepsy so the intended site structure is as follows:

Site Map

Home
>About Epilepsy
>What is epilepsy
>Epileptic seizures
>Non-epileptic seizures
>Auras
>Syndromes
>...
>Living with epilepsy
>Alcohol
>Alternative Therapies
>Driving
>Employment
>...
>Our programs
>Adult Programs
>Children's Programs
>Contact us

etc...

Now when I go to the taxonomy section (where i create and organize the categories) I have it arranged like this:

Categories

As the main vocabulary:
About Epilepsy
Our Programs

Terms (inside 'About Epilepsy' category)

(em)About Epilepsy(em)
--What is epilepsy
--Living With epilepsy

As you can see I've created the About Epilepsy Twice first on the main categories page as a vocabulary and secondly inside the vocabulary as a term. The reason i did this is because you cant make a page from the vocabulary item and only from a term inside it. The two main sections 'what is epilepsy' and 'living with epilepsy' are set in hierarchy as children to the about epilepsy term.

Now what I expect when one clicks on the About epilepsy term (in italics above) a page would appear displaying all of the subcategories but when I click on that link i just get a page saying "There are currently no posts in this category." How can I get that page to show all of the child terms?

I am using pathauto if that makes a difference

Sorry I hope what I've said makes sense to someone as I'm at a loss on what to do here... Perhaps I'm not organizing my content in the most efficient way if anyone has any suggestions or can help me solve this I would greatly appreciate the help... Thanks everyone

Have you considered using the Book module (like drupal.org) for your static content along with the outline module to connect any node type to a book.
