aaron commentedsorry i took so long to reply -- i was moving this month.
yes, the module requires Content Construction Kit.
once installed, you'll set up a new type (say video), then add a field (at, for instance, /admin/content/types/video/fields/add). should happen pretty automatically at that point. you're not limited to adding the field to a new type, by the way; for instance, you could add it to blogs.
i need to write a tutorial for all this. soon, i promise... ;)
