Issue Summary
Maybe I'm a little brain fatigued. I can't seem to figure out how to get images uploaded to the image gallery for Postcards module to list. There doesn't appear to be a way to upload or store images to manually created gallery categories for Postcards.
I've installed the Postcard module, image module and image gallery module and configured all in Admin for what was available to me there for each. Still no method for uploading images to the galleries. Where is it?
* Created Postcard Gallery in taxonomy
* Created some Postcard Gallery subcategories
* Looked for where to upload via add new content for link "Image" not there.
* Manual access to http://www.drupalsite.com/?q=node/add/image just returns page
http://www.drupalsite.com/?q=node/add
* Manual access to http://www.ourgrove.net/?q=postcard returns Postcard page w/ list of all
available categories and gallery titled links AND info "There are 0 images in this gallery" for all.
* Clicking on the gallery titles send me to http://www.drupalsite.com/?q=postcard/tid/XXX
AND info "There are 0 images in this gallery" for that gallery subcategory.
* There is no link or method to add an image from there.

Hey there drupalgirl, you should be able to Create Content > Image (which is the node/add/image link you posted). Once there it will have an upload field for the image. If you aren't able to create the image node type then that explains the issue. :-) Unfortunately that is a problem with Image module and not Postcard, so you should probably post over there that you can't create an Image after enabling Image module.
Also, not sure if you are doing this as user 1 or not, but if not, make sure that the access rights to create images is checked for your user role.

I really would like to use Postcards. I reinstalled the latest image module including image gallery mod. Can now create/upload an image now, but there is still no way to upload to a taxonomy category for the Postcards usage. For example, I have image gallery taxonomy Anniversary, Birthday, Graduation... Should I have created taxonomy for content type "image" instead of "image gallery"? There is no existing content type image gallery.
If Postcard relies on image/image gallery mods to function I cannot find documentation on how to configure them all to work with each other. In submitting an image content type there is no drop down menu for the created image gallery parent/child taxonomy categories. All that node/add/image allows me to do is:
Title
Upload
Body
Input Format
Comment settings
File attachments
URL path settings
Menu settings
Authoring information
Publishing options
My question remains: How to get the images into the parent/child image gallery for Postcard to use for sending?

Unfortunately I don't know why the Gallery dropdown isn't appearing for you when you create an image. Once the Gallery terms have been created they should appear on the create image screen. This is an issue related to Image and Image gallery modules and not Postcard so I'm not sure how else to help you, other than to suggest that you post an issue to that queue.

Sorry. Didn't get back on this. There is no step by step instuctions anywhere to explain how image/image gallery and postcard all work together. I figured out that I must first create taxonomy for content type "image". I named it "ePostcard" then added gallery categories for it. Only after performing these steps did the dropdown appeared in node/add/image after insuring content type is specifically "image".
My problem steamed from not knowing these steps in advance. Upon install of postcard module I saw no way to create the galleries for postcard so I manually created a new content type "postcard" and tried to work from there.
I'll keep you posted as to how it all turned out attempting to actually use postcard module. Have blank page returned now after submitting uploaded image to a gallery with "0" being added to gallery via node/add/image. Have submitted issue in image project regarding this.

Hm, well actually this is how it should work after you install the modules:
- Go to the Image Galleries settings page (at Administer > Site configuration > Image gallery) and create the gallery/galleries you want. This will give you the dropdown on node/add/image.
- If you want to restrict the postcards to only a particular gallery rather than all of them, go to the Postcard settings page (at Administer > Site configuration > Postcard) and select which one you want. If you want all of your images to be postcards regardless of gallery then you can skip this entirely.
It seems like you missed the creation of the galleries after you installed Image module. You do not need to create your own vocabulary for this as Image gallery does it for you on install. Also note that you do not need to create a "special" vocabulary just for the postcards. They will use the Image gallery automatically.

This is all exciting stuff. I got it all figured out. Having problems now importing images from the import folder on the server with the lastest image module version. I get blank pages on clicking button "Import", but image mod developer is helping isolate that. Until then can't wait to see how Postcard really works. I'll keep you posted.
