Slideshow doesn't appear in IE8

I installed your 'out of the box' package and have noticed that the slideshow doesn't display in IE8.

The infotext does display (albeit over the first article teaser).

The error can be seen at http://anya.219design.co.uk (when viewed in IE8 obviously)

Is this a known problem and is there a fix for it?

I look forward to any thoughts or ideas.
