Hi,

I have found some similar issues and posts with solution to this, but I am still having problem to resolve the issues I am having. So, sorry in advance if I have missed anything.

The problem I have is that posts from anonymous users do not show up in the thread. If I login as an admin, then I can see all posts just fine but not anonymous users. So somehow anonymous posts are hidden unless you are an admin who have administer right to the forum. (admin’s post shows up right away in both admin mode or regular user mode)

I have granted “access forum” & “post new treads/post” to anonymous users under the drupal access control page. I have also granted all group accesses under the UIE Forum page.

In addition, I was wondering if anonymous users can ONLY reply to a post but not able to edit other anonymous posts. Currently anonymous user A can edit other anonymous user B, C, ….‘s post since they are all considered as user ID 1 in drupal.

Also, the weird thing is whenever I made setting changes (to the forum or to drupal setting) then the hidden anonymous posts will then show up in the thread. Not sure how changing setting can update the anonymous post…..

This was fixed in the 5.x version - but as development of the 4.7 version has stopped it was never back-ported.

Sorry to reopen this topic. I read it was fixt for 5.x, but it is still in here. Opend my forum yesterday for anonymouse users, only protecte by the captcha module.

Posting works and everyone else can see the post, but not the guest who wrote it. That leaded this night to a lot of reposts I had to cleanup this morning.

Good workaround?
