This is something to be fixed on the App server probably, as it displays versions like: Panopoly Core 7.x-1.3-beta3, yet, all download links go to something like panopoly_core-7.x-1.0-beta3.tar.gz and all versions there are at 7.x-1.0-beta3, of course.

I was bit by this -- it seems to break when trying to update via cron in my self-install. I'm currently reinstalling and planning to ignore "out-of-date" warnings until the next official beta.
