Do you think it would be possible to allow the button to perform Javascript?

Example: The Button would "Add to users bookmark" or " Flag content as inappropriate"

Yes, perfectly. I would recommended jQuery instead which is more convenient to program than Javascript. You can enter the code (or leave your editor do it) directly from the CCK interface.
