Im new to drupal but done a far bit of web developing in the past with css and some php.
What im wondering is how is it possible to create a blocks with teaser content in them ie latest headlines or newest members very simulare to this site. http://www.uk-clubbing-directory.co.uk/
do you understand what im after i would like instead of the freeflow way drupal makes the center content div i would like the front page to be more blocky like http://www.uk-clubbing-directory.co.uk/
