The Google Product Feed module (http://drupal.org/project/uc_views_gpfeed) for D6 maps categories to taxonomy terms via an autocomplete field. The field is populated by uploading a txt file containing the categories.

I would love to see this feature added, then allow the products to use the taxonomy mapping as a default value rather than entering it on a per product basis.

Product type autocomplete feature was added to both versions 6 and 7, it uses the original file on Google servers, so no need to upload any files

Taxonomy mapping is not really needed since this module is only concerned with submitting to Google Merchant Center
