Using the Next/Prev links at the same time as the carousel thumbnails [#1589024]

I would like to be able to use the Next / Prev links in addition to the carousel thumbnails. I changed the tpl file to put the Next / Prev links at the top of the big image and spaced them so they are at the edges of the image (< Prev on far left and Next > at far right). The carousel is at the bottom with some space between the big image and the carousel. This lets the user advance the big images easily with the Next / Prev links as well as look through the thumbnails and choose from there.

The issue is that when Next or Prev are clicked, it doesn't sync up with the carousel. If you click Next, then I would expect the corresponding carousel thumbnail to be made active.

Note that I'm having general issues with the activeSlide css getting updated properly so maybe this is actually supposed to work but is just a bug.

Hi,

I've added a "follow active slide" option and fixed the activeSlide class in the dev version. But the "follow active slide" will not work with "circular" carousels. There is also a new option to define the pager and prev/next button position directly in the slideshow settings.

There might be an issue when updating to the dev version of field_slideshow with images caption, see #1482076: Theming active pager item.

Let me know if you have any issue when updating the module to the dev version.
