So here's an issue I've run into.
I have full permissions for full creation/editing as an admin/webmaster. An article I created about 2 months ago and "stickied" to the Front Page is giving me problems now. Whenever I try to edit the page, I am returned to the edit page with no changes being made. I merely would like to "unsticky" the article at this point, but I can't even add a period to the article if I wanted to. I've even tried to delete the article from the content panel and after confirming the delete dialog, the page returns me to the same Delete Confirmation page with no changes!
I've edited/created a 100+ pages since Drupal was installed on my site in January and this is the first time I've run into an issue. Its really annoying because I see that article as soon as I load the site.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Hi Bill! I found your post while searching for a solution to the same problem on our site. I've hit up the chat rooms and had some suggestions to clear the site's cache and also to run update.php. Both were unsuccessful at resolving the issue. The problem is only with this one article! Can someone tell us how to toggle the switch for promote to front page from within the Drupal database? I feel this would solve our problem.
Thanks!

No help yet
For the last two and a half months, I have been trying to solve this question. If anyone has any ideas, it would be a HUGE help. The article is now "stuck" at the top of the home page with no way to remove/edit/do anything! Thanks ahead of time.

Relatively speaking I am a drupal nube but what would happen if you create another article and make it sticky? Does it appear above your "stuck" article? What if you used devel generate to create like 100 sticky articles? Could you max out the limit of articles on your homepage so that the "stuck" article "fell off" so to speak? Have you played with all of the post settings? (Administer>>Content Management>>Post settings)

Thanks for the reply.
We use the sticky function to keep upcoming events/conferences at the top while the articles we put up, almost on a daily basis, rotate through. Thanks for the idea though.
This is the only article that this has ever happened to. So frustrating!!!
Still unable to figure out this problem!
So frustrating. I've searched all over the web and have yet to have anyone run into this problem.
Driving me up the wall!!!
