I was wondering why you store the full path to the image? In order to make it easier to upgrade and/or move my data, I would think it would be better to reconstruct the path on the fly. I say this because I recently went through restructuring some of my sites in preparation for going to a full multi-site installation, so I had to alter my "files" settings. It was a real pain.
