reverse sync

Is there a way to "reverse-sync" NAT associations (i.e. create node fields from associated vocabularies)? I created a bunch of terms/categories/taxonomies (confused yet?) before installing NAT and would like the node they apply to to have the same field names. Maybe it's not the best way to design this "database" but that's how I have other nodes set up in order to get categorization navigation (which is sorely lacking in Drupal's core).
