hey guys, thank you for the time, would it be possible to add a per user tumblr connect?

I'm running a forum/blog-ish site with friends and few times some of them asked for the option to migrate to tumblr, and some liked the idea to post "teasers" to tumblr.

If "per user" is too much, maybe in site options it would be possible to select a user and transfer his/her posts.

Can you elaborate? Can you specify what "per user" means? Please be as specific as possible.

For example, are you saying each user on your site has their own tumblr account and page? Do you need all users to have a tumblr account or just some? Who sets up the tumblr info (I.E. login info)? Each user or the Drupal site administrator.

Technically, there isn't any reason why tumble_connect is bound to it's current architecture. In other words, it's technically possible to create a separate configuration for different users. However, the overall design and impact is the issue :)

Another example could be, "I want each user on my Drupal site to have their block of Tumblr Followers".

Hope that makes sense. Without an elaboration, I can't determine the size or effort.

Also, please verify that you are on Drupal 6.x (not Drupal 7). If so, any plans to migrate to Drupal 7?

oh, thanks for the quick reply.

all we talked about was just the ability to post nodes (in my case, no optional fields that will be missed) from drupal user A account to tumblr user A account, and B to B, we all have different accounts on tumbler and as far as I know they don't have more blogs associated with their tumblr accounts.

I'd love to see this only for some users. As different drupal users on our site will use different tumblr accounts the option to set up tumblr-info probably should have per user settings. (have you tried twitter for drupal? it has the options that each user can have his own twitter account associated with his drupal account (settings under user profile/edit), and the website options allow also a general twitter account to be used)

For the moment I'm on D6, waiting for node_gallery to be yet released for D7, but it has alternatives, if you someday will be able to add this to D7 then please do so. :)
