When I try to create a nodeview, the PlaceHolder Tokens field shows "No tokens available". If I put one manually in the Arguments field (in this case [node:nid]), it doesn't work. Any suggestions please?

Had the same problem. Clearing caches mysteriously saved the day.

This was likely a caching issue as suggested in #1. Another alternative would be a fix for entity types that went in recently where tokens weren't being provided for types with a _ in their name, IE: commerce_product.
