I'm using a vocabulary with parent and child terms. I'd like to expose a taxonomy filter that only shows the parents. It seems that regardless of what I do, I get the full list. Do I need to specifically exclude all the other terms (per http://drupal.org/node/84124) or is there a better way?

In Views 2, you can specify which terms will show up in the list; that's the best that's likely to happen.
