creating post breaks install (MAMP)

I was testing this on a local install (OSX 10.4.10, MAMP, Safari 2.0.4) and it has broken the installation. I created a custom content type with the video field and a text field.

The preview page loads without any video field visible (title and description show up). On submit, a blank page (no page source code at all) is given with a url site.com/admin/content/node. I have tried this for both google and youtube videos.

I can load other pages. I was able to 'unpublish' the nodes in question, though on attempting to delete (before and after unpublishing) i get the same blank page without a node number. This was after the delete confirmation page. When i click on the nodes in the content list, i get the same blank page.

Either this is an issue with use with MAMP or there is a deeper issue?? The problem for me is that it has damaged my test install and all the configurations for other content (CCK) based on not being able to uninstall the respective nodes.
