No backup file created

Hi,
Iam using theme_editor 6.x-1.4 module and applied a patch to display all files in a subfolders of a theme folder.But when I save the css changes and tick the box "Save original to backup", I get a confirmation that a backup file was created. However, when I click on the backup file tab in the editor, it tells me no backup available.Please help me.
