I have phpfreechat up and running with Drupal 5.x and dev version of module, with phpfreechat Beta 9 as suggested. I am unable to change the theme of the chatroom though and was wondering if anyone can offer help with regard to this. I am not exactly sure that the theme directory is being found path= {site root}/modules/phpfreechat/phpfreechat/themes
Any suggestions?
Thanks

udvranto commentedNew theme means mainly the smiley's used in it. In this case rename the default/smileys to default/smileys-def and copy the smileys directory from your preferred theme.

ekrispin commentedThe theme of the chat is at all not only the smileys, it is the whole look. You can specify in admin/phpfreechat the theme you chose from the several available in phpfreechat/themes (or build your own new theme (see instructions in http://www.phpfreechat.net.
If you see that the theme does not change, enter the command /rehash in the chat (you will need to do it from the drupal admin account after you enter the command /identify to let phpfreechat identify you as the admin).
