It would be great to allow a promise creator to set a numeric goal and ask everyone who promises to submit a number.
This could be used for fundraising campaigns as well as other numeric campaigns (airline miles, volunteer hours, etc.)

We looked at linking Promise with Fundable or ChipIn, but opted to stay away from anything involving $$ in the first release of Promise on OurTahoe.org for liability reasons.
As far as tracking volunteer hours, I am definitely looking at adding more flexibility to Promise and including it in a custom install profile I been looking into developing for IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) groups. Members of local IMBA groups could "promise" to do x number of hours of trail work. The site would track the number of hours each member contributed and keeping track of the total hours each year. That type of configuration seems like it could be useful to many types of organizations.
