Cannot see the tab "Template" next to view and edit

When I try to create a node template for my feed items, I followed the instructions from readme to add a new story. According to the instructions, I am supposed to see the tab "Template" next to view and edit after I have submitted the story. However, the tab does not appear. This leech module is exactly what I need for my website but I am stuck on this step....Can someone please give me some advice?

I just did an install of leech 1.8 for 5.x and I had no problems. Are you installing as user 1? If not, you ll have to set permissions for being able to create a node template.
