template problem with $content variable

I have this node--contenttype.tpl.php file that was working nicely

after recent update, now running views 3.3, the template works as expected in a Node page, but in a view page it loses all my custom fields content. $content array has only links and body

So my view page is quite broken :(

What caused that and how can I put my fields data back to the $content array
