Incentivising blog commenters with a link - top commenters plugin for Drupal ?

Hi there,

there's an interesting WP plugin that should encourage more discussion from your readers,
by displaying their names (linked to their website if desired) and number of comments they have made recently to your sidebar.

Is something like that available for Drupal?

This is a very useful module and feature missing in Drupal. Is anyone working on it already?

Edit: I have already found a solution at http://www.quartzmtn.com/weblog/link_blog_and_top_commentators_drupal

The "top commentators" block, which rewards those who've commented here in the past 30 days. Right now it lists the top 6 contributors.

I haven't used that module myself, but I would think you could use it to assign points for comments.

Eh? I didn't understand your answer. There wasn't any question about how this module (code snippet) works. Anyway, this is not for assigning points for comments.
