Hi there,

I'm wondering if somebody could get to work the geofield within a user entitie with widget 'Geocode from another field' ?

When I try, the geofield is not getting displayed (and I played with the display settings as well). To have a map displayed I need to change the widget type to 'OpenLayer map'.

I had a look around and the only complete exemple to get a map on user profile is from this url http://www.istos.it/en/blog/mapping/openlayers-and-addressfieldis

The problem is that it does so using the profile2 module, but I don't understand why he needs it, it should be possible to attach addressfield and geofield to a user entitie no ? Any experience with that ?

This sounds like a geocoder issue

I got this to work by using a 9-digit zip code. It would be nice if this was filled in automatically based on address.

@krem, could you try with the latest -dev version of Geocoder module, it worked for me without any special configuration.

Hi,

I confirm the latest -dev version of geocoder module works fine on fields with 'Geocode from another field' on user entity. You just have to (i search several hours ;-() re-save you user with the geofield field after you install the latest -dev version module.
