I am the same person who wrote the report ("ODD SKU's" , above)... I didnt know how to revise the original error report and attach these snapshots to it.
These snapshots show errors from the bpc module just after submitting the form to bulk create the products. I had forgot about these errors until I tried another product group. The 2nd snapshot here shows the true SKUs that were generated. Notice on the first snapshot it says 288 products were created which was correct, even with all the errors. However the SKU's are messed up whenever a '0' was to be part of the SKU#.

You can edit the original report by clicking the "edit" link at the top (next to "View", under the title of the issue), though often, it is better to elaborate in a new comment ...

I am closing this as a duplicate, and will reply in the original issue #1585818: Odd SKUs output when using BPC.
