Can't seem to get my admin theme to show when I want it to

Okay, I've got two themes: MAIN and ADMIN

I am using modules Taxonomy Theme and View Theme

SETTINGS:

A) In Admin > Themes I have MAIN selected as default

B) In Taxonomy Theme I have MAIN selected for the category that Test Node is of

C) In View Theme I have MAIN selected for Test View

D) In Admin > Administration Theme I have ADMIN selected

E) In My Account I have selected Admin as my theme

DESIRED EFFECT:

"Main" to show up as the theme for my Test Node and Test View, but Admin to show up for ALL OTHER PAGES

PROBLEM 1:

If I have everything set as I explained in ABCD, and E the "Add Node" page is in the MAIN theme instead of ADMIN

OR

PROBLEM 2:

If I change the setting A so that ADMIN is selected as the default theme, then all the pages I want to be ADMIN are indeed ADMIN, but the Test View shows up as ADMIN instead of MAIN (so it would appear that the View Theme module is not having any effect)
