This one needs confirmation from others as a first stage.

OS: CentOS (any GNU/Linux should do)
drush version: 5.2
Drupal: 6.26
Total modules: 248
Total installed and activated modules: 146

Steps performed:
1) drush dl adsense
2) drush en adsense

Result:
Total modules: 248
Total installed and activated modules: 248

At most there should be 151 installed and activated modules, not the complete set of 248 modules!

Please test in sanbox, would be nice to know if drush or adsense bugs out.

It's a known problem with git.. And FYI, needs review is when a status that should be used when you provide a patch that needs review.. There wouldn't be much point in the active/needs review/needs work if they applied to the fact that something's wrong.
