is it possible to replace countdown block automatically with another block when count down finish?
for example happy new year block with some image when new year comes.

you must to find a code that know when count is 0 (if you found write here)
after is necessary use php code for insert the blocks
but also blocks countdown you cannot insert by admin-blocks but by code
think in the page.tpl.php
