Node Location vs. Location CCK anomalies

I originally set up Node Location and then read that I should probably use Location CCK instead as it was based on Fields API. I also found that the Node Location fields did not show up in page manager, so I thought I would try to switch over to CCK.

I liked the way the Node Location module showed the location icons in a view of many locations that linked to the node, but in the node, the location map icons did not link to anything which would be correct setting.

When I switched over to CCK, I could select location fields in page manager, but the location map block no longer worked. I added the location field manually in page manager and set display to map, but while the map looked good, there were issues.

Clicking on the icon brought up a pop up that had all the location information. I did not need this as it was already displayed on the page. Also, the pop up was not very nice, as you can see in this image:

I would like that the map displayed on the actual node not have the pop up with all the data, and in any event, that the pop up is clean if set up t be displayed instead of all these odd anomalies.
