Issue Summary

I'm not a big fan of internet explorer either, but maybe it would be possible to use IE's vml to support graphics there? Sometime in the future?
Unfortunately we cannot control which browser users of our sites use ...

There is an option to implement other toolkits into the module than SVG. For now IE users have the only option to install the SVG plugin, which according to my test was working fine with IE6.

I will continue to work on this module after the project period, and I will investigate options to regarding this requests. I have to decide on the priority in developing, to chose to expand the feature range this module provides, creating new modules using this capability (taxonomypie, statistics graphs and so on), or expanding the range of toolkits. I have received another request to make it possible to use drawing via php-gd, this is certainly an area I will look into.

VML is somewhat reduced in capabilities compared to SVG, but honestly I haven't spent enough time examining it to judge it just yet.

VML is deprecated, and actually hadn't been in development since 1998, and isn't support by most major browsers.

I'd say there will be very little interest in this and it is not worth pursuing.
