I'm getting massive errors on previously working site. Help me troubleshoot where to start on this.

My gut feeling is replace the db entirely with my last backed up version though there has been a little bit of content added to the site since then -- so if there is something else to do first, please let me know,

Warning: Can't open file: 'sessions.MYI' (errno: 145) query: SELECT u.*, s.* FROM users u INNER JOIN sessions s ON u.uid = s.uid WHERE s.sid = 'a2f75029f9ed57929a48697dc4ba2a13' in /home/drupal51/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/drupal51/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc:172) in /home/drupal51/public_html/includes/bootstrap.inc on line 488

These errors are for the home page and actually there are many more, Here is a text file with all the errors. Oh, and it won't let me log in. Uggh.

Thanks,

Shai

are your database working correctly , make sure you can query like "SELECT * from session", directly from mysql.

Thank you

I tested about ten tables and queries worked on them, but they definitely are not working on the sessions table.

Can I just drop and then add the sessions table?

Thanks so much for your timely response.

Yes, its data are temporary. You can try to repair it, truncate it, or drop it an create it again in phpMyAdmin.

dide,

Two tables were damaged, the sessions table I dropped and used SQL to recreate -- thanks for letting me know the data could be recreated.

But then the watchdog table was coming up also and breaking the site. I used cpanels "repair database" widget and that worked!!!

I so much appreciate you taking the time to help. Made my day.

In addition to your backups, you may want to use the database utils to check your site once a month or whatever interval would be appropriate for your site.
