Just an FYI...the developer is away until July 31. I'm sure he'll investigate this when he returns...just so you don't get irritated that no one answers...

Versions? What version of Drupal Ecommerce, Drupal and Mysql are you using?
On the 2 test sites I use, I'm not getting the aforementioned error.

ecommerce v5.x-3.1
drupal v5.1
mysql v4.1.20

(I've upgraded MySQL to v5.0.37 since the problem with Skipcart and haven't retested the module.)
