I'm trying to create a new site with ssl only, I chose the following options,
- New encryption key : empty
- Domain name : whatever you want here
The site cannot be created, it fails with the error message:
"There are no more IP addresses available on for the certificate."
Note, if I go and add an ip address to the server before, I can create the site without a problem.
Also, the failed site cannot be delete completly, the certificat stay there.
I would expect not to be able to create the site in the first place.

anarcat CreditAttribution: anarcat commentedAfter chatting with seb, I am able to summarize this in another way: even if there are no IPs available for new sites, the site creation form will happily allow you to create a new SSL site, which then obviously fails in the backend, creating a site that is impossible to destroy.

anarcat CreditAttribution: anarcat commentedWe have stumbled upon this bug while trying to fix this issue: #1603722: deleting a site doesn't delete its SSL certificate.
This would be easier with the following properly working: #1126640: move the SSL IP allocation to the frontend.

ergonlogicThis was fixed by #1126640: move the SSL IP allocation to the frontend, I believe. Either way, I can no longer replicate it in Aegir 2.
