Minor...
I came across this error after trying for an hour or so...
It would not read my server path... I thought...

My customer's files were uploaded in capital letters for some reason.
When I changed the files extension from ".JPG" to ".jpg" it all suddenly started to worked. Yesss ...!

I'm sorry I haven't had the time to investigate it further but the workaround works fine for me - no capitals...
