Would you consider adding a form element to allow negative time periods, exposing a setting to allow users to choose whether positive negative values are allowed in widget settings.

Is this something that is on the roadmap? And would you accept patches for this functionality?

I have some work on polarity here: http://drupal.org/sandbox/danph/1612248 (branch: polarity)

Simply set the 'minimum' field under integer setting to a negative value, and 'maximum' to a positive value to show the element.
